Pleading the Blood of Jesus

Pleading the Blood of Jesus

During the great Pentecostal outpouring of the Holy Spirit in 1906 in Azusa St. Los Angeles, California.Believers who we’re filled with the Holy Ghost received revelation of God protection power by the Blood of Jesus.  The Bible describes in detail as Moses delivered it to Israel.

Exodus 24:8

And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.

Exo 12:13

And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Other translations make it clear,..

Exo 12:13

But the blood on your houses will be a sign for your protection. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. Nothing will touch or destroy you when I strike Egypt.  -God’s Word Trans.

Pentecostals often say “In the Name of Jesus, I plead the blood against this” . There’s power in the blood, glory to God. Hebrews Chapter 9-10 describes in detail the sacrifices of the law, and the new covenant.

Heb 9:19-21

For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,…..and all the vessels of the ministry.

My wife often says “stick with what you know”,  old time Pentecostals knew some things,  they knew what works!.
